Opportunities for Growth

Since Reed is a vertically integrated company with many different departments and aspects to our operations, the sky is seriously the limit for where you can go within this organization. Whether your experience is in paving, concrete, excavating, driving, concrete, or something else, Reed has a place for you on our team. Once you’re here, you can work hard and move up. We prefer to promote from within Reed! Many of our senior leaders grew into their current roles over time with the company.

Maybe you want to try your hand at something new in the construction world? At Reed, you can move laterally through the company as well. We have more options for growth within our company than you can shake a stick at! Think you want to move from a field position to working at one of our asphalt or concrete plants? That’s a possibility at Reed. Few companies have as many options as we do for our team. We provide opportunities for everyone at Reed, and we love helping our team grow and achieve more!

Are You a Good Fit?

We can’t afford to hire just anyone. We need people who have a strong desire to “Make it Happen” on every project for every customer. We hire based on work ethic rather than strictly experience. Mike Reed has proved that anyone can create a lasting legacy with good people who work hard, and we’re looking to carry that legacy on with each new hire.

  • You’re loyal
  • You’re willing to work hard
  • You’re a teamplayer
  • You take pride in doing things right
  • You’re determined no matter the odds

I enjoy working for Reed, because as a whole, the company strives to be the best at whatever it does — whether it’s a big impressive highway, the shrubs and grass on the shoulders, or the drainage pipes no one ever sees.

I’ve been at Reed since 2012, and I love that each day is interesting and different. Reed cares about my overall well-being and is a great place to grow. I’ve seen many employees move up in their departments to leadership roles over the years that I’ve been here.

Administrative Assistant
I’ve only been at Reed for two years, but I love the people and the family environment. Everyone cares about one another and treats each other with respect. I applied at Reed because I heard that I could move up. I started out on a shovel, worked hard and progressed, and I’m now working in the operations office!

There’s plenty of room for advancement at Reed if you are willing to do the work. Reed has a great work environment, great people, and many opportunities for advancement. They offer training too -- I just attended a workshop for paving professionals in Chattanooga. Oh, and the pay is excellent too!
Chad Mitchell
I love my job, the people, and the atmosphere at Reed. There’s never a boring day! Join the Reed team where we 'Make It Happen!' Reed takes care of us too, by providing a great benefits package and opportunities to grow. I started in 2013 as a mixer driver, and I moved into a supervisory position two years ago. I have since moved on to manage Concrete Plant #4.
