Michael and his wife Connie got married 26 years ago. They have three children — Chastin, Cailyn, and Madison — and a granddaughter named Ella-Morgan. Outside of work, he spends his free time on Lake Guntersville, boating and fishing with family and friends. He also enjoys riding RZRs, and taking the occasional vacation.
Michael grew up working on construction sites with his father. He attended a technical school for diesel mechanics, where he learned how to work on engines. When he was 21, Michael bought his own truck, which was the beginning of his first equipment fleet.
32 years later, Michael is still in the same industry, which has become his passion in life. He says his favorite part of this company is the employees. “Having knowledgeable people in the right places within the company has allowed for Reed to grow into what it is today,” he explains.
Michael enjoys several aspects of running this company, but he especially loves seeing a project progress from start to finish. “I enjoy the challenges that arise, and how we all work together to overcome them,” he says. “In every aspect, each project is a team effort.” No matter what an employee’s background is, Michael enjoys helping everyone succeed through dedication and hard work.
