Shane married his wife Erika 11 years ago, and they have two children named Madison and Hunter. Shane has always been a gearhead, and he loves to work on cars. He actually still owns his first car, a 1965 Mustang Fastback that he still drives to car shows.
He graduated from Jacksonville State University in 2006 with a major in accounting and a minor in finance. He passed the Certified Public Accountants exam in 2007, and received the Merit Award from the Alabama State Board of Public Accountancy for obtaining the highest exam scores during the spring 2007 quarter. Shane worked in public accounting for six years, focusing on auditing and corporate taxation, before he joined Reed in 2013.
Shane says that he enjoys working for a family company, because it allows the business to have a personal approach with its employees and customers alike. “I’ve enjoyed being a part of helping Reed continue to grow its current lines of business and expand into new ventures,” he says. “We are still a small family that supports each other and will do whatever it takes to make it happen!”
